from Johns Hopkins University, publishes widely in journals and is the author of three collections of poems, and a member of the subpress publishing collective. She is an affiliated artist with Clubbed Thumb, a member of the Obie Award–winning playwright collective 13P, and the co-founder of the Brooklyn Writer's Space. Grubbs was a founding member of the groups Gastr del Sol, Bastro, and Squirrel Bait, and directs the Blue Chopsticks record label.
