Why do you think that the rates of distracted driving and texting while driving have continued to increase in spite of tougher laws targeting the problem?If you were in charge of reducing the problem, what changes would you make to stop this epidemic?In an effort to build up our community and the future of Florida, we are proud to announce the biannual Brooks Law Group Scholarship.In May of 2019, Governor Ron De Santis signed a law that made texting while driving a primary offense in the state of Florida, which means that police officers can now pull you over and ticket you if they see you using your phone while driving.48 states now have laws in place that ban texting while driving, yet the rates of distracted driving continues to increase.Upon winning, the winner’s photograph and essay will be published on Brooks Law Group’s Blog.
